Accelerator Swarm offers start-ups crypto-currency funds

SwarmBitcoin 2.0 Platform Swarm, ‘the world’s first’ distributed accelerator that allows companies to raise funds by issuing their own crypto-currencies, is taking applications from UK crypto-currency startups for its new accelerator programme in London.

The 12-week programme will focus on helping startups grow their businesses through a combination of peer-to-peer mentoring, technical assistance and access to resources designed for startups in crypto-currency and its surrounding ecosystem.

The accelerator will be based in London’s Shoreditch… where else? Startups will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of established businesses and organisations such as leading business schools, financial institutions, professional services and VC firms, along with crypto-currency industry experts.

“If you’re a crypto-currency startup with a great team, a great idea and an unfaltering belief in what you do, you are the perfect candidate for the Swarm Venture Accelerator in London. We are committed to helping startups grow their businesses by providing access to our ecosystem”, said Ben Ingram, COO, Swarm Corp.

At the culmination of the programme, startups will be assisted in the launches of their own crypto-coins and crowd-fundraising rounds on the Swarm crowdfunding platform. SwarmPath was announced in June 2014 and the accelerator in London is the first to be announced as part of a global footprint of 10 accelerators that are planned to open.

The London accelerator is open to startups are focused on pursuing their visions full-time and are at seed stage. In addition, Swarm will be fielding applications for future accelerators in major technology hubs in the coming weeks.

Swarm’s own crowdfunding round will provide investors with the additional incentive of automatic equitable inclusion in all SwarmPath-launched enterprises. On Tuesday, June 17, Swarm’s own two-part crowdsale of its digital token, Swarm Coins, will open and last until June 27 or when 4,000 BTC worth of Swarm Coins are purchased, whichever comes first.
