FRIDAY VIDEO – Richie Havens and Freedom (live at Woodstock)

RIP, the great Richie Havens died last month at the age of 72. He was the man who opened the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and somebody I saw live at the Jazz Cafe in Camden in the 1990s.

He didn’t have the energy in Camden that he had in this video of the Woodstock gig, but he was a dude and this is a seminal video of that Woodstock gig.
