Last month a 16-year-old girl from one of Thailand’s wealthiest families was charged with driving without a licence and causing death by reckless driving after ploughing into a public minibus on a Bangkok toll road.

Nine people were killed and the girl’s alleged culpability was compounded when a picture was published of her idly leaning against a barrier on her BlackBerry after the accident. This led to a ‘hater’ Facebook campaign that now has 300,000 users signed up. Continue reading

“What’s the difference between Cinderella and the Australian team?… Cinderella knew when to leave the ball.” Sorry, couldn’t resist it, England won the Ashes 3-1 and not only do we retain the urn, but I get my sleep-patterns back.

But while there is a great deal of difference between Cinderella and the Aussies, what is the difference between Facebook and Twitter? I’ve previously posited that Facebook is ‘Look at me!’ and Twitter is ‘Look at that’, but I’m moving on to a completely different distinction. Continue reading
